The Morning Reading.

A Touch of God.

We have an amazing family group chat called “To God be the Glory.” On here we will post everything and anything we are feeling at the time. It is an encouraging support group where I find I can be reminded of all the good that is in the LORD.

The other morning my mother went on and posted the verse John 15:7 which reads, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, it will be done for you.” It then led to a really good revelation that my sister had.

She said, “As I was reading I realized that IF is the key word. IF we remain in him and his word remains in us. Which means outside of him and outside of his word we can ask anything but it won’t be done IF we are not in him and his word. That is the terms and conditions of asking for whatever you wish to be done, and having it being done. Yet we always ignore this condition, we want it it all. We want a life outside of God and a life not based on Gods word yet we still want God to show up whenever we call on Jesus’s name.”

If all you seek from the LORD is money, and the materialistic things then maybe this may not appeal to you. It is not wrong to ask for money and a stable wellbeing, as the LORD does not wish for us to live in poverty. However if you seek peace and joy from the LORD this may appeal more to you. Anything that is done with good intentions shouldn’t be agonizing.
